Purcellville mock VOSH inspection results in safer stairways for employees

VRSA risk services staff often conduct mock VOSH inspections for members. This helps not only to prepare members for real VOSH inspections – but also to identify areas that need to be addressed.

During a mock inspection for the Town of Purcellville, VRSA Senior Safety Consultant Fonda Craig noted a set of stairs that needed to be brought up to code.

“As soon as I saw it on the assessment that Fonda had completed for us, I immediately thought, we need to get that fixed immediately,” said Hooper McCann, director of administration for the town.

When determining ways to remediate the stairs, McCann turned to the VRSA Risk Management Grant program. Learn more about how VRSA helped identify and repair the steps at the town’s wastewater plant in the video below.
