Topics planned for discussion include:

  • Preserving Evidence: What Does it Mean and How Do You Do It?: The general rule is that a person or entity has a duty to retain and preserve all evidence or documents concerning pending or foreseeable claims. This includes the responsibility not to lose, destroy, or meaningfully alter documents or other similar instruments.
  • Compensable or Not Compensable…You Play the Judge!: Determining whether an employee is eligible for workers’ compensation benefits can be complicated. Join us for this interactive session and test your knowledge of the Virginia’s Workers’ Compensation Act.
  • Feedback from Members: A Guide to Building Relationships: VRSA listens. In this session, we will share how we have tailored our coverages and services to deliver what matters to our members. From the broadest coverages to the services designed to help you prevent and reduce losses, we listen and respond to member feedback.
  • Weeding Out the Confusion: Addressing Marijuana Use and Policies in the Workplace: In recent years, attitudes and laws regarding marijuana have evolved significantly. This presentation delves into the complex landscape of marijuana legalization and its impact on workplace policies and practices.
