Save the date and save room for cake. The annual meeting will return in-person on Friday, May 3.
“We brought back the fall education forums first to travel back into communities around the Commonwealth,” said VRSA Managing Director Marcus Hensel. “Then we brought back the risk manager forum to listen to risk managers on their challenges and help us shape our training and education. This allows us to focus on what matters. And now, we’re excited to announce that the annual meeting for 2024 will be in-person.”
“The benefits of being together – sharing ideas, learning from one another, and building connections – are unmatched,” continued Hensel. “We’re committed to creating an engaging and impactful experience for all attendees. See you soon!”
The in-person event will be held at The Place at Innsbrook, in Glen Allen, Virginia. It is anticipated to begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude by 1 p.m., and will likely be followed by a risk manager forum beginning at 1:30 p.m. Proposed topics for the meeting include cybersecurity, human resources, workers’ compensation (payroll, classifications, remuneration), a FOIA overview, and the annual business meeting.
Plus cake.
A full agenda and registration will be online by January.
