VRSA recognizes National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week

VRSA recognizes National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week, a time to recognize animal control officers who work to protect the welfare of animals and pets that are rescued from injury, disease, abuse, and starvation.

Earlier this year, VRSA Public Safety Specialist Gary Dillon met with Adel Katrovits, senior animal control officer in the City of Radford. The city has two animal control officers and a shelter that can house up to 20 dogs and 70 cats. Katrovits has been with the city for nine years.
