The 2026-2027 Risk Management Grant program opens Monday, Aug. 3. Each year, the VRSA Members’ Supervisory Board allocates $400,000 in funds to assist members in preventing and reducing losses.
Last year, members, including the towns of Blacksburg and Front Royal, the cities of Fredericksburg and Emporia, the Southeastern Public Service Authority, AlexRenew, and the Bull Run ASAP, that received grant funding, were featured on the VRSA blog or newsletter.

We will discuss the intent behind the grant, how it supports proactive loss prevention efforts, and how it aligns with our shared goal of reducing workplace injuries, claims, and long-term costs within the risk pool.
