The VRSA Public Safety Academy is available to members purchasing law enforcement liability coverage, and who belong to the Cardinal, New River, and Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel District criminal justice academies. These classes currently provide in-service credit from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).
Courses are powered through the Training Response Network (TRN). (Crater, Central Shenandoah, Piedmont, and Southwest Virginia criminal justice academies have existing agreements with TRN and users should access TRN through their academy.)
Note: Northern Virginia, Skyline, Rappahannock, and Hampton Roads criminal justice academies have existing agreements with Police1. Agencies served by these academies should access Police1 through their academy as many classes are approved by those academies for in-service credit.
