Louisa County Water Authority focuses on continued training with assistance from VRSA grants

For risk management efforts to be successful, they must be continual. Regular safety training ensures seasoned employees and new employees remain informed and mindful of policies and procedures that are in place to avoid injuries.

Several years after purchasing an aerial lift to use in performing inspections on clarifiers, the Louisa County Water Authority realized it was time for continued training on the equipment.

“Operators who received training [previously] may not be up-to-date, and we have new operators,” said Program Manager Mary Johnson. “We were able to acquire a grant through VRSA to pay for on-site instruction training, hands-on for our operators.”
