Fraud is a deliberate act that involves using deception to gain an advantage from a position of trust or authority. This virtual session will discuss the Fraud Triangle Theory as a means to mitigate internal fraud in an organization.

The fraud triangle is a model that explains why people commit fraud. In order to prevent or identify fraud, it is important to understand the reason behind people committing it. If you know why people commit fraud, it can assist with knowing how to set up strategies to protect your organization from becoming a victim of internal fraud.
