Recovery Representative

We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Recovery Representative. This position provides excellent customer service by pursuing recovery of monies paid on behalf of VRSA members from legally responsible third parties while meeting established claims handling standards.

The essentials of the job include investigating, determining recovery potential and handling all aspects of assigned claims within the required standards and procedures. Referrals to legal counsel, when necessary, must be accurately and promptly completed. File note documentation when pursuing subrogation or restitution must be an accurate reflection of all activities. Proper documentation must be filed to protect our members’ right for recovery; all checks and documentation must be recorded upon receipt.

Qualifications include: Property and Liability and/or Workers’ Compensation claims adjusting experience. Working knowledge of established recovery/restitution practices and procedures. Demonstrated abilities to gather and analyze information, negotiate fair and equitable settlements, maintain files and documentation. Knowledge of civil and criminal remedies for recovery and the differences between each.
