The 2025 Fall Education Forums wrapped up Sept. 25, with a final stop in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Over the course of two weeks, nearly 160 members representing 94 member entities gathered together throughout the Commonwealth to meet with staff and hear presentations on a number of topics.
Presentations this year focused on workplace protections and leave laws, contract review, and the interactive “Is It Compensable? A Judge-for-a-Day Workers’ Compensation Workshop.”
“Once again, our staff were able to meet with their members around the state and continue to build relationships,” said VRSA Managing Director Marcus Hensel. “The forums are a tradition that has allowed us to highlight the availability of our staff, and how they are a familiar face to Virginia’s cities, counties, towns, school divisions, and authorities.”
Forums were held in Smithfield, Lorton, Wytheville, and Harrisonburg.
Thank you to everyone who attended. We look forward to seeing members at our next in-person engagement! To see photos from these events, check out the slideshow below!
