Boiler and machinery loss
Recently, a check for more than $200,000 was hand-delivered to Danville City Schools. A 20-year-old boiler in one of the school properties had formed a four-inch crack which resulted in leaking. The cause was found to be equipment breakdown. The $205,286 check was provided to cover the cost of a new boiler and the schools’ costs for an interim boiler rental and associated expenses.

Recently, the Town of Marion suffered a loss of a large dump truck and attached salt spreader used for snow removal due to an accident. Within two weeks VMLIP had appraised the vehicle, determined it was a total loss, and issued a payment of $63,000 – representing the Like Kind and Quality replacement value for a vehicle between five and 15 years old.
