Let’s review your utility’s Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program. After all, this maintenance activity keeps your equipment running smoothly. It is so important to your process that it may periodically be reviewed by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and other regulatory agencies. Equipment failures may result in a violation of your National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. Worse yet, it may create ill effects on community health and local water quality.

You can begin by making a list of your utility’s equipment to ensure you have a complete inventory of all equipment requiring PM. Where would you start this list?
