SUMMARY:Spot the Risk\, Fund the Fix! Using VRSA's Risk Management Grant to Maximize Results
DESCRIPTION:This virtual session provides an in-depth overview of VRSA’s Risk Management Grant Program and its role in strengthening risk management across our member localities. We will discuss the intent behind the grant\, how it supports proactive loss prevention efforts\, and how it aligns with our shared goal of reducing workplace injuries\, claims\, and long-term costs within the risk pool. \nParticipants will receive a clear explanation of the grant process\, including eligibility\, funding parameters\, timelines\, and application expectations. More importantly\, we will focus on how members can strategically use grant funds to address their most pressing exposures. By analyzing incident trends\, identifying unsafe work practices\, and targeting high-frequency or high-severity loss areas\, local governments can leverage grant dollars to implement meaningful\, sustainable safety improvements.
