SUMMARY:Playground Safety and Maintenance Training (Front Royal)
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, more than 200\,000 children are seen at emergency rooms for injuries associated with playground equipment. While the only legal requirements placed on playgrounds involve the Americans with Disabilities Act\, there are recommended actions to establish an organization’s “Standard of Care\,” established by the Consumer Product Safety Commission as well as various American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards. \nThis training will provide information on these requirements\, so you can ensure your entity’s playgrounds are properly audited\, maintained\, and inspected. Proper management can help in preventing accidental injury. \nThis training will offer two components\, classroom and hands-on training\, to help entities prevent and reduce incidents/losses. The hands-on training will be held at a separate location after the classroom training.
