Supervisor Training: Reasonable Suspicion and Emotional Intelligence (Fairfax)
This two-part class will cover reasonable suspicion drug testing as well as emotional intelligence for supervisors.
The reasonable suspicion session is designed to provide supervisors with the skills they need to learn about the dangers of substance abuse in the workplace, and understand their role as supervisors in enforcing their entity’s substance abuse policy.
The emotional intelligence session will discuss how emotions – especially strong emotions – can change the way our brains function and diminish our cognitive abilities, decision-making and interpersonal skills. Those with a high degree of emotional intelligence know what they are feeling, what their emotions mean, and how these emotions can impact others.
HRCI has approved two hours of HR recertification credit for each portion of this class.
Light refreshments will be provided.
