Confined Space and Trenching & Excavation – Train the Trainer (Williamsburg)

Every year, trenches and confined spaces claim the lives of dozens of employees. These fatalities are often due to a lack of understanding of the hazards, inadequate training, and a safety culture that allows unsafe behaviors.

VRSA members are involved in trenching and entering confined spaces in their day-to-day responsibilities. It is important to ensure all levels of employees involved are trained and have the ability to educate their staff, manage risk effectively, and hold each other accountable for following safe operating procedures at all times.

This train the trainer class will provide participants with practical on-the-job training with classroom, program review, and oversight for trenching in the morning and confined space in the afternoon.

Upon completion, all attendees will receive a training curriculum, quizzes, program templates, and other information to build a program and conduct meaningful training for their employees.
